Carole Maurer-Baumann discovered her passion for the travel industry already as a teenager. Infected with the «hospitality virus» at an early age, she decided to pursue a career in tourism after leaving school and immersed in the fascinating world of the hotel business. After earning the hotel management degree as well as the certificate in PR and Marketing she took a variety of courses at the renowned Cornell University. She broadened her national and international network of luxury tourism, especially during her many years as Director of Sales, Marketing and PR at the famous Hotel Baur au Lac in Zurich. Today, she looks back to more than 20 years of experience in the luxury hotel and travel industry.

Roman Mehrow looks back on over 20 years of experience in the Swiss tourism industry. Following his education at the famous Kuoni agency in Berne, where he took his first steps as travel consultant, he travelled the world as flight attendant for Swissair and Swiss, gathering impressions of exotic destinations. Back on the ground he was significantly involved in establishing the brand Globus Reisen as Head Competence Center. He subsequently ran Kuoni Concierge for 4 years, until finally deciding in 2013 to set out on his own with RSelection. An avid Skier and mountaineer, he draws from his profound knowledge and passion for his beautiful home country to create Suisse Selection’s individual, custom-made travel experiences.

Silvio Kehrli, grown up in Meiringen, a well-known holiday resort, got in touch with hospitality and support of tourists already in his early childhood. Mother and father work as ski instructors, close relatives own the beautiful “Hotel Rosenlaui”, built in the year 1771. In Meiringen, as well as in the hotel, Silvio discovered his passion for tourism. Hence he started an apprenticeship as cook in the kitchen of the Hotel Lindenhof, Brienz. During his studies at the famous Hotel Management School Lucerne, he worked in several categories of the hotel industry: he loved duties and responsibilities as receptionist, bar tender and steward in fine dine restaurants. The final exam was followed by several activities and employments in various sales divisions. He collected operating experience in Hotels in Switzerland and Europe, as for example in the «SO/Berlin Das Stue». Back in Switzerland he improved his knowledge as Director of Sales in the two five stars Hotels “The Alpina Gstaad” and “Les Trois Rois” in Basel, where he had also the chance to get and stay in touch with many high-end customers and travel agencies. This network in his home country as well as abroad is very helpful for his employment and work as Product- and Operations Manager of Suisse Selection. He knows most of the Luxury Hotels in Switzerland, appreciates his occupation and includes his personal experiences far away from the mainstream tourism in the offers of Suisse Selection. He is full of passion and enthusiasm to fulfill the desires of his clients.
